Funny you wrote this because I just blogged about overhearing one of my children say "damn it". We love Lego Rock Band as a family.... but I understand what you are saying. My children are older but even when they sing the songs they will just hum the parts that have a word that is not appropriate (which differs from kid to kid).

It could be worse.

i TOTALLY Agree... I won't let the lyrics of the other Rock Bands be displayed on the screen when my daughter or niece and nephews are around. I just don't like it. When they announced Band Hero (for the entire family) I was thrilled. Then I saw the setlist. No freakin' way. I don't care how much Taylor Swift you jam into a set list, it's not family friendly... (and don't get me started on Taylor Swift. Even with the absence of profanity- a song about a girls boyfriend sneaking in her window at night is NOT what my 10 year old girl needs to be singing in the mirror.)

Sounds like a great way to hang-out with the family. Can you skip the songs you don't want the kids to hear?

Pooh. We have been hoping Santa would bring this game for Christmas. Everyone in the house is looking forward to it. I hadn't looked at the song list yet. Now what do I do? Those are not appropriate songs at all Pooh.

The toes song has the words changed when they play it on the country radio stations. I've only heard the real version with the a$$ in the sand on the top 40 count down. On the radio they say toes in the water, toes in the sand. :)

I know the feeling.
[insert sympathetic hug here]

Imagine my surprise when my 4-year-old daughter
came home from daycare
belting out "I got my toes in the water, my ass in the sand".
Not sure the artist, but she knows ALL the words.

Lego Rock Band will have to await another holiday season...
we get enough of it from daycare ;)
